I love South Portland. My neighbors ground me here; this community is a special place where we show up for one another. This year, I have been deeply involved in our community response to ICE and in the No Flock for SoPo campaign. I’ve never felt more connected to my community than I have through organizing, and it’s a key reason why I decided to run for the state house.
I’m clear-eyed about what this moment requires: we have a duty to future generations to resist and defeat fascism and to use the collective power of government to help all residents. Families are struggling to make ends meet and I firmly believe we need bold state-level policies that directly bring down the cost of living.
It’s important to me to run a campaign that is open, transparent, and reflects the needs of all who live here. I’d like to hear from you. Please send me an email at lucyformaine@gmail.com with your questions, ideas, and thoughts.
I hope to earn your vote at the Democratic caucus on July 22nd,
Lucy
